Magic Johnson and Earlitha “Cookie” Johnson have just returned from a luxurious yacht vacation that lasted for six weeks onboard the Phoenix 2 superyacht. During their time on the yacht, they observed the arrival and departure of a large number of celebrities, acquaintances, and individuals from their own family.
A number of Italian towns and cities, the Corinth Canal, Mykonos, Oia, Kefalonia, Kalami, and Santorini, Montenegro, and Dubrovnik, Croatia were among the destinations that the NBA legend visited during his Mediterranean vacation. The tour began in Antibes, France, and continued on to other destinations. In addition, he traveled to the Italian regions of Positano, Nerano, Sicily, and Capriccioli.
During his travels, Johnson was confronted by opulence on multiple occasions. A number of well-known hotels and restaurants, like as the San Domenico Palace in Taormina and the Four Seasons in Sicily, were frequented by the legendary NBA player. Both of these establishments were included in the movie The White Lotus. Even though Johnson did not stay at the hotel, he did eat at the restaurant that was located by the pool. He ordered a salad that cost $33 and a cannoli that cost $22 during his meal. The starting charge for a night’s stay at the property is $1,700.
Because he chartered the magnificent yacht Phoenix 2, which has a starting price of €1,150,000 (about $1,255,000) per week, the former athlete did not have to be concerned about finding a place to sleep the night before his race. It is estimated that Johnson spent approximately $7,530,000 on the yacht for his adventure that lasted for six weeks.
A crew of 29 people is included in the price of the seven-cabin superyacht, and they are ready to assist a maximum of twelve guests within the vessel. The main cabin is comprised of a two-story apartment that has its own set of stairs located within it. In addition to providing amazing views of the ocean, the private terrace of the apartment features a jacuzzi pool. The remaining cabins are connected to one another across three floors of the ship by a central elevator. Furthermore, depending on the requirements of the visitors, some of the rooms can be converted into family accommodations.
On board the luxury yacht, visitors have the opportunity to unwind in one of three pools, watch a movie in either the indoor or outdoor theater, soak in a jacuzzi, work out in the gym, listen to music in the piano room, have a drink at the bar, or visit the salon and wellness center if they feel the need to do so.
The evenings were also filled with enjoyable activities for Johnson and his guests. In one evening, the group threw a masquerade party for the basketball player and his family, which was a pleasant surprise. Their second night in Greece was highlighted by a “Greek god and goddess extravaganza,” which was the highlight of their trip. There was a post that Johnson posted on Instagram. “Not only did we have a great time dancing and dressing up, but Chef Daisy also prepared an incredible spread for us to enjoy throughout the evening!”
There were a number of important people who were on board with Johnson, including Judge Matthis, Michael Jordan, and Samuel L. Jackson.
Last night, we enjoyed a wonderful supper at Da Paolino Ristorante, which is located in Capri, Italy, and is a restaurant that is part of the Lemon Tree. There was a post that Johnson posted on Instagram. An assortment of notable individuals, including Judge Greg and Linda Mathis, John and Vicki Palmer, Sam and LaTanya Jackson, Michael Jordan and his wife Yvette, and my personal buddy and the greatest basketball player of all time, were there at the event.
All of the friends are smiling and laughing as they pose for a group portrait, which is displayed in a carousel of images. As they were being serenaded by musicians at the illustrious diner, Magic and Jordan smiled for another photograph.
After the initial group of friends that Johnson had brought along on his holiday had already left, Johnson’s family arrived in Italy to join him.
"Embarking on Family Adventure: Magic and Cookie Johnson, Alongside Children and Guests, Explore the Seas Aboard the Phoenix 2 Superyacht
Joining our joyous journey are our children Andre, EJ, Elisa, daughter-in-law Lisa, and the delightful presence of Gigi and Avery. At 63, Magic shared his excitement alongside a photo capturing the vibrant group against a breathtaking beach backdrop.
A lively crew of 18 explored five countries on this lavish voyage. Given past patterns, the prospect of reliving this extraordinary experience in 2024 seems highly probable for the Johnson family."
